He emigrated from Calabria to the United States of America where he developed a major industrial activity. Has been engaged in the Italian community of Chicago and has chaired several organizations including: the Columbiana Club of Chicago, the Calabresi in America Organization, the Italo-American Chamber of Commerce in the Midwest and the Italian House. Chairman of the Industrial Company Campagna-Turano Baking Co., and Chairman of the American Bakers Association. He holds a degree in Economics, and a Masters in Business Administration at the University of Chicago and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
