News Anchor. Until 1986 he continued the work of his father, who was murdered by the Mafia in Catania in 1994, picking up the direction of the newspaper “The Sicilians”. He has been a correspondent for the Espresso from Latin America at the end of the eighties, and special envoy for many newspapers on many fronts of peace and war, from Somalia to Cambodia, Algeria and Lebanon, from Salvador to Chile.

In 1991, author of the book “The Mafia boss in Catania 1960/1991”, he won the Europe prize, awarded to the best journalist of the month.

He also wrote, along with Monica Zappelli and Marco Tullio Giordana, the screenplay of “The Hundred Steps” awarded, in 2000, at the Venice Film Festival, and in 2001 with the David di Donatello and Silver Ribbon.

In 2013 he wrote the book “Mar del Plata”.
